Tony ByrnE

Tony is a cinematographer and camera operator based out of Chicago, IL. Notable credits include the award-winning documentaries “Beneath the Surface: The Line 5 Pipeline in the Great Lakes,” produced by the PBS initiative Great Lakes Now, as well as “Passion & Purpose,” a short-form documentary about Michigan’s outdoor industry. As the owner and operator of act ii media, he has had the great fortune of directing and crewing dozens of commercial, documentary, narrative, and live music productions for the likes of Scholastic, National Geographic, and Electric Forest Music Festival.

Over the past few years Tony has worked alongside talented filmmakers in Chicago, developing and contributing to short films about loss, belonging, and kindness. He has also developed video content and processes for Loyola University Chicago as an in-house Director of Video Production. It is his hope that he’ll be able to continue helping others tell their stories, as a collaborator and educator.

Our goal is to spark curiosity, protect the things we cherish, and foster deeper connections within communities. At act ii we know that your passions and projects don’t start and end with a deliverable, they live and grow alongside you and yours. Our goal is to bridge the gap to your next act.
